Your Journey into Wisdom is your own unique journey into powerful questions where you design your own answers and choices. Every era and culture in history has had its discourses and practices of wisdom, and in this journey we’ll engage with some of these traditions and look for how they may speak to us in our own era.
The search for wisdom is a search for answers and perspectives that bring meaning. We’re looking to illuminate our lives with choices and possibilities for a good life and empowering our contributions. Our journey can reveal our relationships with life that can enable peace, belonging, and connection. It can empower us to weave value and satisfaction into our lives, our work, and our living.
The designer of these explorations, questions, and conversations is Bob Dunham, who has been and continues to be in his own Journey into Wisdom. He invites you to be in conversation with wisdom traditions of ancient and modern times, with his guests, and with a community of explorers. He invites you to join him in your own journey, to be provoked with questions, perspectives, and possibilities that will widen your choices in life.
In this journey we’ll look for possibilities of becoming a more generative human being, using human intelligence, heart, and soul to explore, expand, and design your life journey with curiosity, fascination, wonder, and gratitude.
To be generative is to find in any situation, no matter what, that we have choice, and these choices enable us to design how we will live our life journeys with ourselves, with others, with our worlds, and with what is beyond.
The choice is yours – to journey or not, to choose or not, to design or not, and to live as you choose…or not.

Hi, Bob here, I’ve been a wisdom seeker all my life and in my prior work I designed the generative leadership discipline as a discourse and body of practice. I am the founder of Journey Into Wisdom and previously I founded the Institute for Generative Leadership, with affiliates in the US, Latin America (LATAM), and India, where my colleagues and I have trained thousands of leaders and coaches of leaders and worked with dozens of companies.
The design of my work has always been based on reinterpreting the world of action with human beings and life as the ground and center, rather than the mechanical abstractions prevalent today that turn actions into tasks and people into human resources. In Journey Into Wisdom we are bringing forward what is most fundamental to living life together – the generative human being.
Journey Into Wisdom seeks to reawaken us to our human power of creation to create a better world and future. It’s a conversation and a serious inquiry into the questions of what it is to be fully human, fully ourselves, and to live with wisdom. In this journey you are invited to share the commitment to create a world in which everyone thrives.
